Kate Stevens

Location:

Inverness UK

Online

Dramatherapist

Support & Wellbeing Facilitator

Writer, Director, Actor & Arts Practitioner

Kate is a Dramatherapist, holding a MSc in Dramatherapy from Queen Margaret University. As an arts practitioner, Kate became aware and curious of the role of ‘healer’ within both professional and amateur creative communities, and personally experienced the impact of this omitted role, on her connection with her artist self and the work she shared. This is the very foundation of what led her to becoming the ‘healer’ she had missed in these communities by undertaking Dramatherapy training.

Kate’s clinical practice is inclusive, trauma-specific, and person-centred, working in arts spaces,  inpatient settings, and as a team lead within a Rape Crisis setting with survivors of sexual violence. She also holds her own private therapy practice, specialising in identity and trauma, with the aim of providing a safe and creative space to explore and express your inner world, whatever your background or experience. Kate believes whole-heartedly that accessing our inner child, and remaining curious and playful in our approach to mental health can deepen self-expression, insight and knowledge of how we want to exist in relation to ourselves and others.
